McClearn’s Majorettes
McClearn’s Majorettes will teach twirling, dance, marching, and performance pieces and discipline. Twirling helps with hand eye coordination and dexterity, timing and spacing and flexibility. No prior knowledge is required, but it does take lots of practice. It is also a great way to make friends and be a part of a team.
McClearn’s Majorettes will work with local marching bands, parade committees and performance events within the Hudson Valley and beyond.
We will begin classes in October and train once a week for 1.5 hours. Students will need a baton for class. Students will be required to practice at home. There will be mandatory events on Fridays or Saturdays (depending on the event) there will be ample notice for parents to prepare.
Measurements are required at registration to have baton ordered. To measure for the proper size baton, use measuring tape or yard stick. Start in the armpit close to the skin and hold arm straight out to the side. Measure to the pad of the middle finger. Record this number.
This is an exciting adventure that will be lots of fun to learn, practice and grow together as a team.
